SNMP Agents for Bright UPS
The SNMP Agent makes the Bright UPS "SNMP Management". It allows network managers to monitor and remotely control the UPS through network management platforms such as HP Open-View, SUN SunNet Manager and others.
Either the optional SNMP Internal PCB card (SNMP-Card-502) or the external SNMP Adapter (SNMP-Adapter-503) may be used to convert UPS signals and data into SNMP MIB II compliant messages to the appropriate Network Management Stations (NMS). When the UPS senses a power problem, a "trap" is sent to the network manager to identify the nature of the alert allowing correction to be executed.
