Markets & Product Solution Strategy
IntelliPower has the broadest range of rugged UPS and power conversion product solutions in the industry. Rather than only offering a selection of fixed function models, IntelliPower has earned an outstanding reputation as the reliability leader in the design and development of rugged multifunction UPS System and Power Conversion System features specifically tailored to the client’s individual criteria to protect mission-critical applications in specific environments and operating with worldwide power sources. All IntelliPower rugged power conversion products are designed and configured using internally developed electronics hardware and firmware technology. Moreover, our ability to provide timely and competent hands-on, support services, as well as engineering responsiveness and flexible manufacturing options have helped us become the industry leader in Uninterruptible Power Supplies for challenging harsh electrical and physical environments.

Typical applications of UPS Systems support include: Navy shipboard applications; Army and Marines Tactical battlefield applications in transit cases, shelters, military trucks, HMMWV’s, LAVs, etc. We also focus on industrial applications such as for oil and gas drilling rigs, toll roads and automation systems for computers, network communications, satellite communications, etc. Many solutions involve extreme temperature and shock and vibration environments, as well as the full range of MIL STANDARDS as needed. Application possibilities are virtually unlimited.

Located in Orange, California, IntelliPower’s team of professional associates operate in a highly responsive, entrepreneurial environment with a professional management team experienced in fast track, high-tech businesses. Founder and CEO, Bill Shipman, brings over four decades of experience in the computer and power electronics industries in sales, marketing and general management. IntelliPower’s management team has an outstanding record of accomplishments in large, medium and small technology company environments. Members of the engineering, manufacturing and marketing teams are continuing to contribute enviable performance and talents gained from years of experience working with innovative and advanced technology product designs. Our Marketing & Sales Team supported by a strong network of rep firms continues to win new accounts. Our Engineering Team continues to expand and update IntelliPower’s innovative product solutions with integrated proprietary hardware and firmware technology. IntelliPower continues to expand all company functions with qualified individuals to support aggressive product and market growth, and to provide the highest quality responsive execution for our valued clients. Our Engineering team has its own development and lab facility adjacent to our headquarters building.
Manufacturing and Customer Repair
IntelliPower’s products are proudly manufactured exclusively in the USA under the company’s ISO 9001:2008 Registered Quality Systems. IntelliPower performs all material procurement, final assembly, product testing and quality assurance using our MRP system, flexible flow lines and automated testing. PCB assembly operations are performed nearby in Orange County, CA in high volumes by automated ISO 9001 registered contract manufacturers. This manufacturing strategy allows us to responsively develop and produce consistently high quality, innovative reliable products at lower costs. Importantly, performing manufacturing in the United States also permits us to be highly flexible in meeting our customers exacting requirements, with efficient and reliable delivery of products on time including configured and customized solutions.
IntelliPower emphasizes tight coordination between design engineering, marketing/program management, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, quality assurance and production for maximum focus on process and product improvement. Both prototype assembly and volume flow line assembly methods are used.
IntelliPower Operations also includes a fully dedicated and responsive RMA Repair Dept, focused on customer satisfaction, is located in a facility adjacent to our main headquarters and manufacturing building. Its highly experienced techs are supported by a dedicated advanced automated ICT system and burn-in room, which are separate from the similar manufacturing assets.
